On 25th December 2018, for the very first time, I landed at Аеропорт Бориспіль (Boryspil Airport) in Kyiv, #Ukraine. It was a ponderous snowfall, but I feel so welcomed by the city and excited to wander around to snap some street photographs. Hot coffee and bread fresh coming out of the oven were my best friends for a hungry tummy amidst the severe winters.
The typical sight seen in the morning and evening is the bustle of workers passing by at the Metro station. Arsenalna station lingers in my memory as it is considered to be the deepest in the world located 346 ft (105.5 m) below ground.According to Kyiv’s city government, there are 3,000 designated bomb shelters and it's included 47 of the city’s 52 metro stations. The horrors of war are not new, but their disproportionately devastating impact on the #Ukranian people definitely is.
